Wacky Wine Weekend is our biggest festival in the Robertson area. While we still don’t have people at the farm in a formal tasting facility (we will get there, we promise) we will be partaking in the festivities and giving you the opportunity to come taste our wines at a specially demarcated area at La Verne Wine Shop in Robertson.
The weekend itself comprises many activities and you can get the entire weekend program here. To download a map of the entire valley, click the link here.
So pop by La Verne and come say hello. It’s in the main road in Robertson on the right hand side, as you are heading from Cape Town.
See you this weekend!

Wineland Magazine does this amazing random tasting. They go out to a store, like you and I do, select a couple wines, drink them, but then, unlike you and myself, they review them in a magazine, without telling the farms.
So when we got the call from a friend to say we were reviewed we were puzzled and excited. Traditionally “The Pink” has a mixed review audience. Its a completely non-traditional wine, so it’s loved by the public, but often given a bit of a snub by the critics. As “The Pink” continues its worldly travels, however, it goes about its business unassumingly taking over the world, one pallet at a time.
Enjoy the review. Go out and buy the magazine if you see it, certainly look fantastic. If you want to subscribe give them a click click on Wineland.co.za.
Have a great extended weekend…

This very interesting article appeared in the Wine Magazine and we have to say we agree. We still have some stashed away `08 Sauvignon Blanc which is drinking fabulously, and out `09 is still growing in character (although a thanks has to go out to all the people who’ve been quaffing at it for an entire year).
That minerality we are becoming famed for it still all over the `09 but the passion fruit that the area is more famous for is now coming to the fore.
Amazing, isn’t it just. Put it in a bottle and it will change. Just add friends, laughter and for mom, some ice.
