Refreshingly different, the wine gives the impression of having some sweetness while actually being dry. Excellent with bacon and eggs, as well as all spicy foods. The ‘dark horse’ of our cellar, this wine always surprises new consumers.
Due to the uniquely cold climate on the farm, this wine is crystal clear and bright which at first shows rich granadilla and cape gooseberries, however once settled in the bottle, these flavours show more fresh herbs and fynbos with a hint of green figs.
The ‘big boy’ of the cellar… Dense, intense and powerful. A classic cool climate Merlot characterized by notes of cedar wood, floral notes, crunchy red fruit and wild herbs combined with delicious oak flavour and lift. The bright fruit, lively acidity and structure is cause for a lingering length. Decant for a rewarding experience. This wine will age well.
Cerise-edged, black vermillion. Intense cassis and ripe plum aromas, blackberry and bilberry hints. Very satisfying. Tannic but ripe so both creamy and savoury on the palate, fruit and freshness finely balanced. Some nuance on the finish.
